EXO KAI's Songs And Books Recommendations

I know recommendations are subjective. I don’t, in general, care about an artist’s recommendations if they don’t match my taste, but Jongin’s recommendations intrigue and fascinate me to a great extent. And when I say he has an eclectic palate, it is something we all must agree upon. Songs List His unique, yet daring taste inspires me to try and give a chance to different genres other than mainstream. Do you celebrate the things you have?

Everyone has something to revel. It’s just that people are either oblivious or so self-restrained that they never let themselves go enough to savour it. Until later, I too was one such person. To me, gratitude is the sincerest form of celebration. I have been grateful for many people in my life. However, I had no memory of being thankful for any of the things I possessed. Fortune and misfortune come and go as they please. I was ignorant of it. Too late came the dawning realization, after I unwittingly lost the most of what I had in my hold. So as all say, it's better to acknowledge the things you have before you regret after losing them. To be grateful for anything is to be aware of its value: physically, mentally and emotionally. The more I rejoiced, the more I became conscious of the abundance that I had and began to indulge further in my daily life. Every once in a while, I take time to recollect the happenings in my life and pen them down. Sometimes, I even

Chicago Typewriter - An exceptional for its kind.

For someone who always shuns that (periodical) side of K-dramas entirely, Chicago Typewriter not only came as a surprisingly high-quality entertainment but also as an unforgettable experience. I feel like it's wrong for me to not write a review for this. Therefore, here I go. For the first time, in my long journey of watching dramas, I felt my heart racing at the beginning of each episode. The first and highest of many praises must be given to the brilliant writer, Jin Soo Wan. Her past works including Kill Me, Heal Me and The Moon Embracing the Sun are my favourites. But this script of hers is a notch higher. They got me from the very first scene. The idea of a writer getting into his character by living as one hooked me instantly. After that, the thought of "quitting" never once came into my mind throughout the drama. TITLE: "Chicago Typewriter" - The title came from the name of a gun which sounds like a typewriter when it is being fired. GENR

My NaNoWriMo Experience #2017

NaNoWriMo2017: It's been a mixed experience for me. My Novel is a Fantasy AU. Though I wasn't fully prepared, I had my outline ready, along with the character and place settings.  I had a wonderful start with full of excitement and the words flowed like water (or I think so they did). But the unending inspiration which I dreamed of having was not there by the time I reached 500+ words. The word flow was stopped short as I got stuck. I wouldn't say I wasn't disappointed, considering how I've been waiting a year for this day. In the name of a 'short break' (which I thought I deserved), I spent half of my day on SNS to have a peek at somebody else's NaNoWriMo status. It took me a tweet from someone who wrote 3k+ words to put my mobile aside and start writing again. I was suddenly alarmed and worried. However, I was very determined at the same time. It was the day one for heaven sake! I reminded myself I gotta do this. I pushed myself to meet the

Do you think it's okay to compare yourself with others?

There isn't a person I haven't compared myself to. Not even the fictional characters. I compare myself to almost everyone I come across, regardless of age. In a sense to find the similarities and differences between myself and them, both physically and mentally. People say, "Look in the mirror...that's your competition." Though I don't completely dissent from this view, I do think competing with others is as important as competing with our past self. If there is no comparison, there is no competition. Without comparing myself to others I wouldn't know where I stand today. You need comparison in life to drive you more, to push yourself one step ahead and to upgrade yourself to higher levels. Yet the only satisfaction I get in comparison is when I do it with myself. If I'm better than yesterday, I feel proud; if not, I feel the need to strive for better. Either way, I believe self-comparison is fine and doesn't harm you in any way.  I

Why should you be reading?

Is reading an important skill? Yes. That is how we generally gain knowledge, acquire wisdom, learn things, get to see, and last but not least, evolve . Is reading the most important ? Not necessarily. Reading is not everyone's cup of tea. One might start to dislike reading at any point in their life. No one is going to force anyone otherwise. Yet, one can get imbued with the significance of it. Reading is simply one among the various means to find out, escape, and luxuriate in. For all I know, people have been doing all that in whichever way they like. So it’s not something one has to compel themself to try. If it is so, then why should you read? Why do you listen to music? Because it does something to you that no other means can do. Same goes with the reading too.  Infact, it is one among the most indispensable forms of entertainment. At least for millions of people, if not for all. The effect of finishing a novel lasts longer than that of finishing a movie or a drama. It’s
